The standard material line extruder (also known as a color marker) is a small single-screw extruder designed to simultaneously apply colored marking lines (typically blue, green, etc.) onto the surface of drip irrigation tape. It functions as an auxiliary extrusion unit.
Core Functions:
Positioning Marker: Serves as a precise positioning reference for drippers/outlets, automatically aligning with the drilling machine and inspection system to prevent misalignment and improve drilling and detection accuracy.
Specification Differentiation: Different colors correspond to different specifications (wall thickness, flow rate, pressure compensation), enabling quick identification during production, warehousing, and installation to reduce misuse.
Brand and Quality Identification: Custom color marking enhances product recognizability, strengthens brand image, and acts as a visual marker for quality traceability.
Construction Guidance: Assists with alignment and direction control during installation, minimizing construction errors.
Structure and Principle:
Core Components: Small single-screw extruder + dedicated die + temperature control system + color masterbatch feeding device + synchronous drive mechanism.
-
Workflow: The color masterbatch is heated and plasticized by the screw → extruded through the die in a thin line form → synchronously compounded with the main-extruded pipe/tape substrate, then cooled and sized to form a durable color line.
Key Controls: Stable temperature (typically 180–220°C), uniform extrusion output, and line speed synchronized with the main machine, ensuring the color line remains continuous, clear, and non-peeling.
Color thread breakage/unevenness
Check feeding stability, screw temperature, and masterbatch dispersion; clean the screw and mold if necessary.
Color line offset
Calibrate the mold position and adjust the synchronization of traction and extrusion speeds.
Colored thread is prone to falling off
Optimize the composite temperature and cooling process, and select color masterbatch that is compatible with the substrate.
